【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=홍준표 대구시장은 3일 시청 산격청사에서 열린 간부회의에서 대구시가 한반도 3대 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 최선을 다해달라고 당부했다.

홍 시장은 먼저 “2월 12일 정월대보름 전후에 달집태우기, 촛불기도 등으로 산불이 발생하는 경우가 많다”며, “관련 실국에서는 구·군 및 관계기관과 합동으로 팔공산, 앞산 등 사찰, 촛불기도 무속행위지역, 기도실 등 취약시설을 철저히 점검해 산불이 발생하지 않도록 만전을 기하라”고 지시했다.
신공항건설추진단에 대해서는 “TK신공항은 단일사업으로 30조가 넘어가는 해방 이래 최대 규모의 사업으로 정상적으로 추진되려면 국가재정사업으로 추진하는게 맞다”며, “대구시 사업으로 추진하는 것 자체가 출발부터 잘못된 만큼 이를 감안하여 정부는 공자기금 융자에 적극 협조해달라”고 강조했다.
행정국의 ‘5급 이하 성과연봉·성과상여금 지급 추진’ 보고 후, “실국장들이 조직을 장악하지 못하면 대구시정이 흔들린다”며, “인정에 휘둘리지 말고 공정하고 냉철하게 직원 고과평가 등 업무에 임하라”고 당부했다.
대학정책국의 ‘2025 글로컬대학 지정계획’ 보고 후, “우리가 지원하는 비용이 글로컬대학의 부족한 인건비, 시설 확충 등에 쓰여져서는 안된다”며, “지역대학이 선정될 수 있도록 적극적인 행정적 지원을 해주는 한편, 지원금이 대학의 수준과 질을 높이는데 쓰여지도록 철저히 관리하라”고 강조했다.
경제국의 ‘대구·청두 국제 교류협력 강화 추진’ 보고 후, “대구 청두사무소 개소식을 계기로 2027년 완공 예정인 대구대공원에 중국의 판다를 데려올 수 있도록 다시 한번 협의하고, 환경수자원국에서는 판다를 관리할 수 있는 시설을 만들도록 검토하라”고 지시했다.
도시주택국의 ‘지하도상가 이관 추진현황 및 향후계획’ 보고 후, “지하도 상가 이관과 관련해서 이만규 시의회 의장님이 조정을 잘 해주셔서 순조롭게 진행되고 있다”며, “이 자리를 빌려 이만규 의장님께 감사의 말씀을 전한다”고 말했다.
마지막으로 홍준표 시장은 “민선8기 대구굴기를 내걸고 ‘대구혁신 100+1’을 추진한 결과, 대구시가 최초·유일 혁신사례로 전국적 주목을 받았고 혁신성과도 많았다”며, “저는 한때 지나가는 바람일 뿐 변화와 혁신의 주체는 공직자 여러분들과 대구시민들인 만큼, 대구굴기와 대구혁신을 반드시 이루어서 대구시가 한반도 3대 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 최선을 다해달라”고 당부했다.

Regarding the New Airport Construction Promotion Team, he said, “TK New Airport is the largest project since liberation, costing over 30 trillion won as a single project. In order for it to be promoted normally, it should be promoted as a national financial project,” and emphasized, “Promoting it as a Daegu City project itself was wrong from the start, so the government should actively cooperate with the public fund loan.”
After the administrative bureau’s report on “Promoting performance-based pay and performance bonuses for those below grade 5,” he said, “If the directors of departments fail to control the organization, Daegu city administration will be shaken,” and urged them to “not be swayed by recognition and conduct their work, such as employee performance evaluations, fairly and coolly.”
After the university policy bureau’s report on “2025 Global University Designation Plan,” he emphasized, “The money we support should not be used for the insufficient personnel expenses and facility expansion of global universities,” and “While providing active administrative support so that regional universities can be selected, thoroughly manage the support money so that it is used to improve the level and quality of universities.”
After the economic bureau’s report on “Promoting Strengthening International Exchange and Cooperation between Daegu and Chengdu,” he instructed, “Using the opening ceremony of the Daegu-Chengdu office as an opportunity, we should discuss once again whether to bring pandas from China to Daegu Grand Park, which is scheduled to be completed in 2027, and the Environment and Water Resources Bureau should review building facilities to manage pandas.”
After the report on the ‘Current status of underground shopping mall transfer and future plans’ by the Urban Housing Bureau, he said, “Regarding the underground shopping mall transfer, the city council chairman Lee Man-gyu has been coordinating well, so it is progressing smoothly,” and “I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the chairman Lee Man-gyu.”
Finally, Mayor Hong Joon-pyo said, “As a result of the ‘Daegu Innovation 100+1’ campaign under the banner of the 8th local government election, Daegu City received national attention as the first and only case of innovation, and there were many innovative results.” He added, “I think it is just a passing wind, and the main agents of change and innovation are public officials and Daegu citizens, so please do your best to achieve Daegu’s Daegu expansion and Daegu innovation so that Daegu City can be reborn as one of the top three cities on the Korean Peninsula.”
