【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=(재)대구테크노파크 AI블록체인센터, 케이투코리아(주) 소싱본부, 영남대학교 스포츠과학연구소는 11일 케이투코리아 사옥에서 스포츠산업 및 스포츠과학 발전을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

대구테크노파크 우동찬 센터장, 케이투코리아 임병민 소싱본부장, 영남대학교 신성훈 연구소장을 비롯한 주요 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행된 이번 협약은 연구개발 인프라를 공동 활용하고 기술 협력을 촉진하여 국내 스포츠산업의 경쟁력을 강화하는 데 목적이 있다.
이번 협약을 통해 ▲스포츠산업 및 스포츠과학 분야의 공동 연구 및 기술정보 공유 ▲연구개발 장비·시설(풍동, 운동역학 장비 등)의 공동 활용 및 협력 ▲전문 종목별 데이터베이스 구축 및 스포츠 장비·제품 연구 ▲스포츠산업 및 연구개발 성과의 사업화 지원 및 기술 교류 활성화 ▲대구·경북지역 스포츠·섬유패션 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 노력을 지속할 예정이다.
케이투코리아 임병민 본부장은 “이번 협약이 스포츠산업 발전과 기술혁신에 기여하는 계기가 될 것”이라며, “연구개발과 기업 지원을 위한 협력을 지속해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔으며, 영남대학교 신성훈 연구소장은 “스포츠과학 분야의 연구 및 기술 개발을 위해 긴밀한 협력이 필요하며, 이번 MOU를 통해 보다 효율적인 연구개발이 가능할 것”이라고 강조했다.
이에 대구테크노파크 김한식 원장은 “스포츠산업은 미래 성장 가능성이 높은 분야로, 이번 협약을 통해 지역 스포츠산업이 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”며 “스포츠 산업과 대구 5대 산업(미래모빌리티, 로봇, 헬스케어, 반도체, ABB산업)이 융합되는 새로운 혁신 모델을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 3개 기관은 스포츠산업 발전을 위한 협력 모델을 지속적으로 개발하고, 중소기업과 연구기관이 필요로 하는 인프라를 제공하며, 사업화 지원을 통해 스포츠산업의 성장을 도모할 계획이다.
K2, 아이더, 다이나핏 등의 아웃도어 스포츠 브랜드를 운영하고 있는 케이투코리아 그룹은 다양한 제품에 대한 연구 개발, 성능 테스트 등을 진행하는 R&D센터를 운영 중에 있어, 대구 지역 스포츠·섬유패션산업의발전에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Daegu TP, K2 Korea, Yeungnam University Sign MOU for Sports Industry Activation
Daegu Techno Park AI Blockchain Center, K2 Korea Sourcing Headquarters, and Yeungnam University Sports Science Research Institute announced on the 11th that they signed a business agreement (MOU) for the development of the sports industry and sports science at the K2 Korea building.
This agreement, attended by key officials including Daegu Techno Park Center Director Woo Dong-chan, K2 Korea Sourcing Headquarters Director Lim Byeong-min, and Yeungnam University Research Institute Director Shin Seong-hoon, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic sports industry by jointly utilizing research and development infrastructure and promoting technological cooperation.
Through this agreement, ▲joint research and sharing of technical information in the sports industry and sports science fields ▲joint use and cooperation of research and development equipment and facilities (wind tunnels, exercise dynamics equipment, etc.) ▲establishment of databases by specialized sport and research on sports equipment and products ▲support for commercialization of sports industry and research and development results and activation of technological exchange ▲efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of the sports and textile and fashion industries in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions will continue.
K2 Korea’s Lim Byeong-min, the head of the headquarters, said, “This agreement will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of the sports industry and technological innovation,” and “We will continue to cooperate for research and development and corporate support,” and Yeungnam University’s Shin Seong-hoon, the head of the research institute, emphasized, “Close cooperation is necessary for research and technological development in the field of sports science, and this MOU will enable more efficient research and development.”
In response, Daegu Techno Park’s Kim Han-sik, the head of the institute, said, “The sports industry is a field with high future growth potential, and through this agreement, we will not spare support so that the local sports industry can have global competitiveness,” and “We will do our best to create a new innovation model that combines the sports industry and Daegu’s five major industries (future mobility, robots, healthcare, semiconductors, and ABB industries).”
Through this agreement, the three organizations plan to continuously develop a cooperation model for the development of the sports industry, provide infrastructure needed by small and medium-sized enterprises and research institutes, and promote the growth of the sports industry through commercialization support.
K2 Korea Group, which operates outdoor sports brands such as K2, Eider, and Dynafit, is expected to contribute to the development of the Daegu region’s sports and textile fashion industries by operating an R&D center that conducts research and development and performance testing on various products.
