【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=알리셰르 압두살로모프(Alisher ABDUSALOMOV) 주한 우즈베키스탄 대사가 6일 대구경북경제자유구역청(청장 김병삼, 이하 대경경자청) 찾아 김병삼 청장을 접견하고 협력방안 등을 논의했다.

대경경자청에 따르면 우즈베키스탄에서는 주한 우즈베키스탄 대사를 비롯하여 문화교육보건사회 총괄부서장, 참사관 등이 참석했으며, 대경경자청에서는 김병삼 청장과 이은아 혁신성장본부장이 대표로 접견했다.
이날 환담에서는 지난해 11월 경자청에서 우즈베키스탄으로 파견한무역사절단의 후속 추진현황과 우즈베키스탄에서도 운영중인경제자유구역의 효율적인 경영방안 등에대한 의견이 오갔다.
대경경자청은 2024년 11월, 경자구역 내 입주기업(릴리커버 외 5개사)으로 구성된 무역사절단을 우즈베키스탄에 파견하여 29건의 상담실적(상담액 448만 달러 상당)을 거두었고, 부하라주는 2022년 8월 대구시와 우호협력도시를 체결한 바 있다.
한편, 알리셰르 압두살로모프 주한 우즈베키스탄 대사는 지난해 10월 임명되었으며, 2018년부터 2024년까지 주한 우즈베키스탄 무역경제참사관 등을 역임했다.
우즈베키스탄은 중앙아시아의 중심지로 지난 1991년 구 소련으로부터 독립한 이후 풍부한 원유와 천연가스를 바탕으로 빠른 경제성장을 이뤄왔다. 우리나라는 자동차 부품과 섬유 분야에서 우즈베키스탄 내 높은 경쟁력과 시장 점유율을 확보하고 있으며, 현재 법인 형태로 진출한 기업은 약 100개사에 이른다.
김병삼 청장은 “중앙아시아의 중심국인 우즈베키스탄과의 협력방안에 대해 논의할 수 있어서 뜻깊게 생각하며, 무역사절단 후속 추진을 차질 없이 지원하고, 지속적인 관리와 필요한 조치를 아낌없이 지원하겠다.”고 말했다.
Uzbek Ambassador to Korea Visits Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority to Discuss Mutual Cooperation
Alisher ABDUSALOMOV, Uzbek Ambassador to Korea, visited the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Kim Byung-sam, hereinafter referred to as the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority) on the 6th to meet with Director Kim Byung-sam and discuss cooperation measures.
According to the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, the Uzbek Ambassador to Korea, the Director of the Culture, Education, Health, and Social Affairs Department, and the Counselor attended from Uzbekistan, while Director Kim Byung-sam and Director of the Innovation and Growth Headquarters Lee Eun-ah from the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority met as representatives.
During the conversation, opinions were exchanged on the follow-up progress of the trade delegation dispatched by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority to Uzbekistan in November of last year and efficient management plans for the free economic zones currently in operation in Uzbekistan.
In November 2024, the Daegu Gyeongja Administration dispatched a trade delegation comprised of companies in the Gyeongja Zone (Lilycover and 5 other companies) to Uzbekistan, and achieved 29 consultations (consultation amount of 4.48 million dollars), and Bukhara signed a friendly cooperation city agreement with Daegu City in August 2022.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Alisher Abdusalomov of Uzbekistan to Korea was appointed in October of last year, and served as the Trade and Economic Counselor of Uzbekistan to Korea from 2018 to 2024.
Uzbekistan, the center of Central Asia, has achieved rapid economic growth based on its abundant crude oil and natural gas since gaining independence from the former Soviet Union in 1991. Korea has secured high competitiveness and market share in the automobile parts and textile sectors in Uzbekistan, and currently, about 100 companies have entered the market in the form of corporations.
Commissioner Kim Byung-sam said, “I find it meaningful to be able to discuss cooperation measures with Uzbekistan, a central country in Central Asia, and I will support the follow-up activities of the trade mission without a hitch and provide ongoing management and support without sparing any necessary measures.”
